GRAPHENE-a material to revolutionise the mobile industry

GRAPHENE - MATERIAL TO REVOLUTIONISE MOBILE INDUSTRY

It’s a material you’ve probably never heard of but it could revolutionise the way mobile phones are designed and manufactured in the future. Meet Graphene…
Its Pioneers were handed the Nobel Prize last year, it has been hailed as the ‘miracle material’ for the 21st century and it is said to be the strongest material ever measured!
Not a bad introduction for Graphene, which takes its name from Graphite for its tightly bound carbon atoms.
Apparently the material is so strong that it would take ‘an elephant balanced on a pencil to break a sheet the thickness of cling film!’ That or 300 times stronger than steel.
What we want to know though, is how this potentially revolutionary material would impact the mobile phone market. We know Nokia N8′s are strong but this material could lend itself to an indestructible mobile! Theoretically you could create a paper thin phone that has the strength of something, well, a lot bigger. In fact, for those of you that have heard of the Nokia Morph, it’s what the material in that technology is based on!
